Qualified students, academics and researchers
The Armenian Communities Department of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation is giving the possibility to qualified students, academics and researchers in Armenian Studies to participate in activities related to their field of studies, encouraging academic interaction and exchange of knowledge and ideas. The maximum grant amount will be based on proposals received, but shall not exceed 5,000 USD.
Note that if you are a researcher in Armenian Studies in Armenia wishing to participate in a conference or workshop abroad, you should apply to the Short Term Conference and Travel Grant.
Who is eligible?
Qualified students (Master or PhD degree), academics and researchers in Armenian Studies wishing to attend international seminars, conferences, summer courses and other relevant activities related to his/her research field. Preference will be given to younger scholars.
Application are welcomed at any time of the year.

Due to a large number of grant applications, the platform has been slower than usual. The deadline has been extended to 23:55 (GMT).
The Global Excellence Scholarship, targeting highly qualified graduate Armenian students from all over the world, is a full scholarship, based on a global competition, up to 50,000 USD per year, for a maximum of four years. Up to four scholarships will be provided per year.
Who is eligible?
Armenian students admitted or already pursuing a PhD degree in an internationally recognized institution of higher education anywhere in the world. Innovative topics related to contemporary issues and debates, in the area of the humanities and the social sciences will be privileged. Armenian studies is excluded as there is a specific scholarship programme for it.
The application process for the 2018-2019 academic year will open on the 1st of January 2018 and the deadline for applications is the 28th of February 2018.
